Southern Learning Series: Porch Worthy Lemonades - July 7th, 2024

- Dress comfortably, as it can get warm in the kitchen
Come learn the art of handcrafted lemonade! We’ll be creating small batch elixirs that will inspire you all summer long. Learn how to blend fruits, flowers and herbs for the perfect balance of tart and sweet. Learn how to make naturally flavored syrups, use natural sweeteners, and create the perfect ice cubes for a beautiful presentation. A light lunch and dessert will be served out on the porch. You’ll go home with recipes, inspiration for new cocktails and mocktails, ice cube trays, and of course, a half gallon pitcher of your very own custom crafted lemonade.

There are a few spots in the driveway, and there is street parking on the West side of the street (across from the Turlington House).
Note:
The class involves supervised handling of knives (for slicing ingredients). We will be standing quite a bit, but stools are provided. Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. We are not responsible for improper storage or consumption beyond recommended expiration dates.
We may also snap a few pictures or short clips of video during class to promote future classes. By attending, you give us permission to do so. If you are highly opposed, just let us know before we get started.
If you have food allergies, or require wheelchair access, please let us know in advance via email so that we can best accommodate your needs.
*Because we pre purchase your supplies and ingredients, classes are not refundable. However, if you are unable to attend, please provide 48 hour notice and we can exchange your class for another date that’s available.
