Southern Learning Series: Cardamom Apple Pot Pies - October 6th, 2024

- Dress comfortably, as it can get warm in the kitchen

Picture this: a small, cast iron pot packed with layer upon layer of impossibly thin, caramelized apple slices, topped with an oat and brown sugar crumble and a heaping scoop of old-fashioned vanilla ice cream. Now picture yourself expertly (and enjoyably) making this with MVL founder Dave Sopp, who spent months perfecting this signature Southern dessert. Class begins with an apple varietal tasting and ends with a yummy group dessert-fest on the back porch before you take home your own tiny cast iron pot(s) and recipes.

Parking:
There are a few spots in the driveway, and there is street parking on the West side of the street (across from the Turlington House).

Note:
The class involves supervised handling of knives (for chopping ingredients) and handling hot pots. We will be standing quite a bit, but stools are provided. Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. We are not responsible for what you do in your own kitchen.

We may snap a few pictures or short clips of video during class to promote future classes. By attending, you give us permission to do so. If you are highly opposed, just let us know before we get started.

*Because we pre purchase your supplies and ingredients, classes are not refundable. However, if you are unable to attend, please provide 48 hour notice and we can exchange your class for another date that’s available.
