Chow Chow. It’s a pickled relish meant to preserve the last bounties of summer. What’s in it? Things you wouldn’t necessarily like separately. But boy-howdy do those ingredients come together! Serve at room temp straight from the pantry, or cold. Great on saltine crackers, beans, hot dogs, you get the idea! Do your left coast relatives a favor and mail them a jar (preferably ‘hot’). We guarantee they’ll be hitting you up for a replenishment quicker than a hot knife through butter.
