MVL explains a Southern thing - Livermush

Livermush. It’s one of those North Carolina things you should just try and not ask questions. You’ll see livermush for sale (yes, that gray-looking brick in the refrigerator section) at farm stores like Stephen’s Country Store and Butcher Shop. Slice it 1/4’ thick, fry it up in your cast iron pan til’ it’s golden and crisp, then serve it with a fried egg, biscuit and grits. If it helps, think of it as the South’s Foie Gras!
